Calvin Guyer

In 1994, after multiple total aircraft losses due to a mismanaged program, Calvin was appointed Director of the Air Force Jet Engine Oil Analysis Program where he assembled a team of technicians, propulsion engineers, manufacturers, and researchers to identify and solve key technical and programmatic issues. New diagnostic technology, better use of existing technology, and revisions to maintenance manuals led to reduced downtime and a substantial reduction in oil analysis related engine failures.

In 1999, after a distinguished military career, Calvin adapted his engineering and leadership skills to the field of financial planning. He has consulted with many high-net-worth individuals, families, and small business owners--mainly working on investments and estate planning matters. He was tapped as Resident Director of the Merrill Lynch office and later recruited as Vice President for Think Mutual Bank to lead their Investment Services department.

Calvin continues to lead in his community through non-profit work and dedication to the leadership development program at the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.

Calvin is a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering and Wright State University with a master of science in Electrical Engineering. Calvin holds the CFP® designation from the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards.  Calvin obtained his Certified Professional Coach designation from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.  He is a Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner.
