Marianna Lead

Career Background

An active leader in the coaching community, Marianna is a past president of the International Coach Federation’s (ICF) New York City chapter, served on ICF’s global marketing committee, and since 2008 is an ICF Credentialing Examiner - providing oral examinations to coaches going through their credentialing process with ICF. In 2006, Dr. Lead became the first speaker invited to introduce two new topics at the world-renowned Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC:Introduction to Hypnosis and Introduction to Life Coaching. Currently on the faculty of New York University, she has taught many Coaching Skills courses at NYU's Master's Degree Program in Department of Leadership and Human Capital Management as well as at NYU's Coaching Certificate Program. She is also a co-designer of the Competitive Advantages of Women in Leadership program at Columbia University.

Dr. Lead's background in the performing arts enhances her skills as a coach, therapist and teacher.  A classically-trained pianist, member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and former stand-up comic, she has been an Expert Life Coach for Fitness Magazine, collaborated with Dr. Candace Pert – best-selling author of Molecules of Emotion – on her Psychosomatic Wellness CD, and hosted Life Coach TV on Manhattan Cable in NYC, as well as Life Coach Radio with Progressive Radio Network.  Marianna’s style is engaging, inspirational, results oriented and down to earth.
