Karen Maloy

Ordained a Minister in 2008, Karen has 8 years exerience as a Women's Minister, teaching in Christian Education classes, faciliting Life Empowerment groups and providing coaching and mentoring services for individuals looking to grow spiritually. 

Emerging Life 2013 - A fellowship designed to help women to explore and address emotional challenges which are negatively impacting their peace of mind, relationships and spiritual health.

Conflident Learning (2012) - A program designed to help individual learners to increase their chances of academic success by increasing skill levels in areas including motivating yourself to learn, making the most of your time, becoming an active reader, sharpening your classroom skills, creating a study system, preparing for tests, and building skills for confident communication.

Human Services Job Training (2010) - Designed curriculum and implemented skill-building workshops to students in the welfare-to-work program.  Provide job readiness training in areas of hygiene, nutrition, child development, discipline, home management, time management, personal finance, goal setting and communication strategies.  

 Keys to Successful Living (2008) - A program designed to help individual clients to foster growth in their personal life by identifying areas for improvement, setting goals, developing timelines, and keeping track of their progress.

Foundations for Success (2008) - A program developed for women in the local YWCA residential drug recovery program to foster success in their personal lives.

Commnication Strategies (2008) - A workshop develop for the Public Relations and Communications Team of Faith By Love Family Worship Church, to provide opportunities for members to build upon and perfect their communication skills.

Speaking for a Change (2007) - A 2-session workshop developed for the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce Professional Development Program to help small business building and implement presentations to successfully market their businesses.

Other experiences include co-facilitator of PWP Life Empowerment groups, Financial Advisory Board Member for both Faith By Love Family Worship Church and a local YWCA/Girls Inc., club and district level leadership for District #65 of Toastmasters International and Volunteer Pregnancy Counselor for Save-A_Life Pregnancy Center in Decatur, AL. Currently Karen is involved with Calhoun Community College (CCC), Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Women's Economic Development Center (WEDC), and Christian Women's Job Corp. (CWJC) all in Huntsville, AL.
